Women’s Day was celebrated a few days ago.
I meant to do a tribute to all the women who made a significant difference in my life; the ones that molded me knowingly or unknowingly by modeling a life I admired for so many reasons.
Some are still on this side of the green grass, God bless them all.I could not find all the photos to stage them properly.
A call came that led me to decide that all women deserve a voice of admiration, counsel, and acknowledgement for being who we are, humans like men though designed to carry a child or more, and also beings with qualities attracting a sense of community.
Women gather people together as if by a nesting instinct.
We have been strong and we have been weak. We have carried the lives of our own children and those of others. We have “born” discoveries, inventions, hymns, poems, novels as well as more. We have taken to living a life in chastity or the opposite. We are beings who can rise to lift the hearts of the wounded, and we can do the opposite. Like all humans, males alike, we take our first breadth to live.
Our interests may be vastly different yet we recognize something personal about one another. Males and females have spiritual and physical yearnings. It is an understanding seldom addressed and unfortunately seriously abused. We are more than just bodies. We have souls.
The subjects of discretion and indiscretion need to be addressed. The value of intimacy seems not to be treasured. Again, unfortunately, the carnal desires have taken precedence over the need to respect and honor the purity of souls. Yes, I am suggesting that the physical desire to be intimately involved with another MUST first filter through the emotional need to feel safe, to feel right, and free just for being totally united in caring for one another’s emotions. Sex for sex sake destroys a real relationship where peace and joy ought to abide in both hearts. Intimacy outside of a relationship is troublesome.
