Be Gentle

” We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.”__ C. S. Lewis

The mantle above the fireplace where I rest my eyes in prayer…

Jesus asked God to take this cup away…  He asked God to forgive the taunting remark because he did not know what he was saying… Yet He came to live and die as one of us humans in flesh and blood to reconcile us to our Father in heaven, God.  Do we wonder like C. S. Lewis suggests how much hurt we will endure for our own best becoming?  How many hurdles will we overcome   before rising from our knees with arms outstretched towards the sky in thankfulness to God?

The pride, the ego that edges God out is the ungrateful enemy seeking to be the ultimate bronze prize of its own existence.  It cannot see the miracles or feel the soul or see the soul to feel the miracles.

A soulful African-American hymn asks, ” Were you there when they crucified my Lord?”.  The spiritual was composed in the 19th century and first published in 1899 by William Eleazar Barton in Old Plantation Hymns.  I have sung it and the lyrics humbles the heart as it portrays the pain endured that understandably caused the composers to “tremble”.

I wonder how  much pain one has to experience before realizing He is there; we are never alone.  To be aware of His presence is to honor His blessing upon us. Keep Reading

Be Encouraged

What does it mean to be encouraged, and when do we get it?

Why is it important, and who are those that offer it?

“IT” is all here, in this blog.

You determine which path to take because the how to be encouraged rests inside one’s personal intent to be so.  Our intentions are birthed in our will.  These thoughts have soaked in my tears for many years  They are now presented as if on the platter I searched to find by observing and absorbing.

An Angel delivering the holiest of gifts designed to bring comfort on a perfectly sized pillow. I purchased it from an astrologer, Bethea.

To be encouraged is to feel lifted in the direction of dreams and visions intended to benefit one and all.  The humble person bears great humility so its fruit takes time to ripen.

Life is in the presence of spirit.  Given the free will to act as we choose, regardless of circumstances, ultimately leads us to a new place.  That place is always at the moment we call now.

As most of you may have already heard “the present is the present.”  ( This is why I love the English language!)

Is one’s Spirit, the Soul, aware of conscious or unconscious acts?  Does the soul give a life to live while one’s heart and mind determine the route to take and to learn and teach to fulfill by one, or more of the myriad of possible purposes?  I am suggesting mean spirited purposes are sadly present.  Humans are not perfect.

How can we find the ultimate good reserved for each one of us to achieve?  What happens when we falter?

To seek our God’s wisdom is the way to the truth and the light; however, the choices in the Garden of the Universe encourage us to navigate, and we do.  We are free to choose our way of being in the presence of any circumstance.  I think it is known as the attitude we carry.  We arrive at knowing moment by moment according  to choices made with attitude at hand.  Hand in hand they direct the route we choose to navigate. Infinite Choices @ Apple, PC, Google, Yahoo, Facebook and MORE

At Ho’okipa Beach, the mecca for surfers’ delight where tide pools like this one caress the less brave. Monk Seals are known to sun themselves and turtles abide aside the black lava rocks. I love the heart.

“To see a world in a grain of Sand

And Heaven in a Wild Flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour.” _ William Blake,

a fragment from Auguries of Innocence.

William Blake’s quote refreshes my soul like the pool of water refreshed my feet long ago.  What can we extract from Blake’s choice of the word “augury” and “innocence”?  How does a grain of sand coupled with a flower become an omen to behold, a prophecy in disguise, and thereafter even favorable or unfavorable?

I think we are invited to consider the moment at hand.

A few days ago I wrote a blog entitled COME, BECOME ALPHABETICALLY SAVVY, and offered a challenge for you to write something beginning with the letter A through all the way to the letter Z .  The exercise would say a lot about one’s interests in just twenty-six days.  Life is a classroom.  I sought to figure out how I would take to task the suggested word AWARENESS for the letter A.

As Palm Sunday is celebrated, I look from the Hemphill, Texas, woodsy area to the sky for inspiration, and the garden welcomed my visit. Keep Reading

Prosperity, Protests, Drugs, and Gun Control

“I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health__that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul.” _3 John 2

Prosperity is the cornucopia outpouring the goods harvested from a tilled, seeded, and watered field of dreams.  To preserve the best possibility of achieving dreams, so much depends on the individual, and the support of others is monumental…  How does one become worthy of both?Only self-reliance knows the wholesomeness of personal fulfillment.  There is, therefore, no greater good that can be offered a child than a proper education.  The basic education is the foundation of the future.

A proper education requires master teachers and professors.  Their responsibility is to provide all they know about the subject being taught.  No technology is needed to present the wealth of every subject’s basic information.  A master teacher loves teaching the subject taught.  A master teacher initiates the love of learning in every student.  Reading, writing, speaking, and discussing requires books, composition tablets, pencils, and the opportunity to discover a voice, an opinion, an idea, and the unknown, new knowledge.  The joy of getting the basics appears to have been lost.  It is incredible that with all the books in the libraries across the country, reading is not the number one pastime…

Laugh if you will.  There are those who read on a Kindle tablet and prefer it.  Video games have become the mode of continual entertainment, even for adults.  The music is violently imbued with foul language.  Education has failed to incite learning.  Students are not inspired to seek the classics.  They are fed anti traditional values, including the Christians values inscribed in the sacred geometry of our United States capital in Washington, D. C.  It is an unknown fact.  The search for the truth may not please the inept, the uneducated, the people who have risen to advantageous positions without having the skills, or knowledge to be taken seriously. You Are a Star

How would I know?  Have you looked at the sky at night to see the miracle of sparkling  stars?  Near and far and some like dots still giving a light.  The sky can be seen all around the world; the stars shine just as bright.  They mesmerize the eyes to deliver the heart a silent note of comfort sparkling like diamonds.  In our immediate world, we can look up and recognize the shapes if we were to connect them as dot to dots.  I wish we could travel around the globe to capture the stars from as many points as possible.

“The sky can never have too many stars; there is room for everyone to shine, including you.”_ NIN

The truth is the sky can never have too many stars.  The world can never have too many sparkling souls.  They are the ones whose dignity rises to shine.  You are a star.  The light within you yearns to light the way.  Circumstances differ for each unique soul to fulfill a best possible purpose.  Along the way many good deeds are done and none is ever too small.  No good deed is ever overlooked as that is when the beam of light shines brightest.  Humbly accept your lot of being star shine daily.  There is an immense need that only you can fulfill.

To recognize it in ourselves, we often look and see the light in others.  It means we see more clearly.  Lights merge.  It is the light within that seeks to merge with the light of others.  It is when we recognize the sparkle of each soul that our spiritual energy beams a welcoming strength of calm.  Anyone in that state of being sees the light’s potential.  Even though these words may challenge the reality we live in, they are the words I have to offer as a means of inviting all to give each star a chance to shine, including yours.  It should be of no discomfort to discover its yearning to be bright, brighter, and even brightest. Forgiveness Hand in Hand with Love

“Forgiveness is the fragrance

the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. ” _Mark Twain

How did this quote become an old friend’s favorite?  Sometimes a quote

speaks to a wound.  The salve borders on the divine because to for-give

is what we need to yield  in order to avoid collision in our hearts.

The Course in Miracles states “Forgiveness is the key to happiness.”

With these two quotes in mind, one may actually step into those comfortable shoes to avoid blisters and the discomfort thereafter.  This reminds me of the benefit of using Vaseline on the feet before sliding them into socks and sneakers.  It is a way of avoiding blisters.

The heart too can be worn down.  The Vaseline prevention of blisters to the feet can be equated to the thoughts that empower to appease irresponsible blows that literally cause damage. Keep Reading

Marijuana?

“What lies behind us and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” _Ralph Waldo Emerson

What difference would this quote have made had we read it and discussed early on in our lives?  Maybe this is an example of something that requires us to have a past.  Maybe this quote inflates the present to encourage being better in the future.

I think the present moment is the gift for being aware, for recognizing, for absorbing all that can enhance our physical, emotional, and spiritual survival.  There is no prison greater than losing control of one’s own mind.

Marijuana generates an initial sense of fear in many at the onset of using it.  That red flag is the warning.  Marijuana activates the sense of sight to see colors brighter.  That certainly must affect the nerves of the eyes.  The brain’s receptors relax.  That sense of ease causes laughter and a high that stimulates a sense of being more in touch with self.  There is more than I can say because I cannot relate to giving up my power of thinking.  In other words, I refused to smoke joints.

Marijuana triggers dangerous side effects, including the dopiness preserved to describe the users.  Why would anyone choose to join such a group?  I find it offensive to be in the company of people talking gibberish.  How could anyone choose to spend money like that even before knowing how to take care of themselves and other humans?  It is our responsibility to learn how to survive. A Heart of Gold

All secrets are known to Him whose light beams from within us.  I know that to be true because there is no greater wealth or peace on earth than a clear conscience.  The gnawing of all wrongdoing manifests itself regardless of denial.  God’s kindness is in His correction, and no one gets away with harm, ever.  Rest and lean on Him to provide the peace we can all achieve by simply living in the truth.  All of us sin, err intentionally and unintentionally.  Through kindness we can respect and unite to know well being.

To me, history reveals the truth about the evolution of the souls of the people in power at a certain point and time.  The populace has a mixed bag of informed and misinformed souls; their perceptions and misconceptions are enough to frighten the faint hearted.  To rise and stand up to corruption takes a heart of gold.  Many Germans hid Jews from the Hitler regime.  Christians were massacred as well.  Europe was a mess then.  Many parts of the world still are, even within our borders.

When history repeats itself, the revelation reflects unlearned lessons.  Taylor Caldwell wrote the outstanding book, Dear and Glorious Physician, and it proves  how today’s technology has surpassed the maturity of mankind since the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.  Leaders are elected.  Sadly, even the voting methods must be monitored and have been found to be flawed due to  human dishonesty.  Frighteningly, when a group is empowered to create chaos, tragedy is fueled and revisited by all.  On which side do we stand ?  So much depends upon our understanding.  If facts be distorted, misunderstandings are maliciously planted.

There is no room in my heart for anyone who opposes Mr. Trump, his Family, and his carefully chosen administration.  The big lesson his  presidency has taught thus far is that wrong is never right.  The wrongdoers who have created the swamp of deception continue to arrogantly lead the misled who have no respect for a sound education, and they bash the successful.  The elite in the liberal circles disrespect the core of Americans who choose to honor the fundamental principles of well established traditions.  As a naturalized citizen, I have a great deal more to say about the excellence and the horrifying.

Yes, we are a nation of caring individuals who strive to live in liberty.  However, our freedom has been trashed, much like the disrespect shown by those who throw empty beer bottles and soda cans, food containers, and even lit cigarettes on the side of the roads, in parking lots, anywhere as if it were a trash barrel.  It is this unawareness that aches the hearts of those of us who see the mess that has to be cleaned up.  God knows.

Likewise, the pervading usage of foul language and distasteful, shameless binges of unwarranted attacks on our President reflect a sick society.  Freedom of speech has crowned political correctness to be the lid on the simmering soup while contemptible comments are aired to disguise, diminish, dispel the genius of a competent leader.

The uneducated, the inept need not be hired.  How can that continue to shade the danger created ?

The loss of our trust in government evolved through the years.  After the Benghazi attack on our embassy in Lybia, the sacredness of strength in our United States of America continued to dwindle.  September 11 of 2012 left a good number of Americans stunned.  It still makes a difference, and I cannot imagine the betrayal felt by the Families who lost their loved ones.

Americans at large have embraced every man and woman from all walks of life, creed, and race, to the near point of freedom extinction.  The naivete is evident.  The givers and the receivers have been duped.  Common sense has been forgotten while God has been placed conveniently for inconvenient reasons on the back burner.  Many have gotten used to riding on the wings of a state that provides, and the state has accumulated voters by overlooking abuses, just as the abusers accept the corruption at the top.  This is a pathetic spin whirling us into a crash.  America is a melting pot of people who came to embrace Americanism.

The Seat of the Soul, by Gary Zukav, offers an extraordinary guide for humanity.  He writes:  ” The soul cannot tolerate brutality.  It cannot tolerate abundance of pain and irrationality .  It cannot tolerate being lied to.  Consider that on your planet.  It cannot tolerate non-forgiveness.  It cannot tolerate jealousies and hatreds.  These are the contaminants, poisons, for it.”

Our 45th President loves the United States of America and intends to give back, so much, he donates his salary.  He has stepped up to do what he knows he can do best.  He has accomplished great things despite unwarranted and disruptive opposition.  The country has shifted in spirit.  His love of wholesome values has spoken to the souls of the forgotten people of America.  Who ?  Women and men of every race and religion desiring to live by the Ten Commandments.  No one is perfect.  Everyone can strive to be better.  Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians have been drawn to the light of Mr. Trump’s soul.  He leads from the heart.  He is not a smooth talker.  He loves to tweet because he is an authentic communicator.  He is compassionate yet can brawl like a man or woman determined to hold his ground.  This is a guy who has done more good than bad.  For every bad story there are ten good ones.  He is never going to call the swamp a vast Democratic conspiracy because he is not a chameleon.  He loves people who do the job right and has surrounded himself with the best.  He has a heart of gold.

I thank God He knows all.  Those of us who pray in churches or at home, on a walk or while driving, know in our gut, evil has flung to smear, confuse, and destroy the very essence of what is honorable, noble, and good.  We pray because as Gary Zukav says, “…the ability to draw consciously upon your nonphysical guidance and assistance,to communicate consciously with a nonphysical Teacher, is a treasure beyond words and value.”  I revere God’s wisdom, and seek the peace that transcends my understanding through prayer.

This may be much too long yet I need to close with a quote to bring the discussion full circle.

“God loves us; not because we are lovable but because He is love,

not because He needs to receive but because He delights to give. ” __C. S. Lewis

I respect President Donald Trump who has achieved financial freedom to serve the country he loves because it needs to be restored with love, and he honors the nations throughout the world  to shine their own light. Amen.

At the Heart of It All

Of One Heart…

Simply struck by the chord where the heart is purest, I snapped a photo to capture the awesomeness of hope and love.
Sealed moments of love’s expression are ingrained in our minds.  They invite us to want more, for ourselves, our loved ones, and ultimately for the world.
The fairy tale lives in our hearts as it does at the heart of God’s creation, and regardless of the ease with which we enter and stay in a relationship, the dance takes work and practice.
Between Princess Kate and Prince William, I see a heart, and within it, ours.
Love stories never really end as relationships sometimes do.  Why?
Once love is felt, love continues to live, not even just as a memory that engraves our hearts, but in the very spirit that embraces its own reality.

The spirit of love lives forever.
The soul encases a beam of God’s Holy Spirit as an ever source of pure love.  While a representative of our very own being, the soul carries the legacy we provide back to our Maker.  The soul within us is the life and light of God; it’s as if we borrow the possibility to live on earth as it is in heaven, and though all our conditions are unique, our free will is given to us with a purpose to fulfill our best possible gift to the world.  In the journey of life, we search to discover our ultimate good.  We are then at peace.  I believe we are free to choose but the lessons we learn cannot be avoided.  We teach what we model.

At the heart of it all, I wish to give you the following for consideration.

I encourage you to exercise true silence.  To make time to be focused on the moment silently.
Journal your mind’s observations…  Write to preserve whatever surfaces in your mind in silence.
Write your heart’s mirrored emotions in phrases, sentences, or one word at a time.
We know far more than we realize.  Our subconscious gathers a fountain of observations.  Our subconscious nudges us to recognize the obvious.

If we can practice being alert to our breadth, we can feel relieved, and slowly let go of what keeps us from grasping better, wiser opportunities.  Therefore, step into the parlor of your thoughts and see what you know to be true, to be just, and to be honorable.

At the heart of it all, I wish to give you more tips.

Resolving conflicts begins with a splash of silence.  Take the moment to write it all down.
Search for observations and call them known facts, write them on paper.  Read them. Tuck them as the treasures of your thoughts.
Scoop, and dust all emotions on a page and call them feelings.  Call them honestly and embrace the obvious taking deep breadths.

Embrace yourself, close your eyes, and ask for pointers as you breathe in and out.

At the heart of all is a reason.
At the heart of all is an emotion.
At the heart of all, our Holy Spirit never leaves us.

A Glimpse at  Lady Diana…

On April 29, 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, at the balcony with onlookers below, glanced heavenward.
I am so happy to have captured the moment as I stayed awake all night to view the ceremony, and embraced a book entitled, DIANA.
I share this with love for all that is good and pure at the heart of all in life.

The photographs were taken during the live broadcast in my home.
