To Be Just for a Day and Thereafter

To be just means to live with integrity.  That is doing the right thing when no one is watching, for your own conscience’s benefit.

We don’t talk like that enough.  Yes, if we could have books for every grade from first to twelfth grade addressing the benefits of a clear conscience, surely trust would drown the cruel bullying.  Maybe adults would be bound to being more honest, less deceptive, and expect and hold politicians to a higher standard.

” May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us.”
_Psalm 67:1

“I am not bound to win,

But I am bound to be true.

” I am not bound to succeed,

but I am bound to live up to what LIGHT  I have.” _Abraham Lincoln

Be Star Shine Daily became a dream in order to bring to light  problems that can be resolved in the right frame of mind.  It is always easier to stretch out a scroll with pointers than it is to actually integrate them into action.  However, every seed well planted will yield a better harvest.  We can be nourished by the thoughts written by others.   The masters of the ages bring us calm.

“Only the just man enjoys peace of mind.” _ Epicurus

To make an effort to live justly for one entire day may well be the foundation of something marvelous in one’s life.  To begin the day with a prayer brings the miracles nearby.  My life changed from the day I began writing a prayer to God; in the letter, I ask for His mercy in the name of His Son Jesus Christ. Be Encouraged

What does it mean to be encouraged, and when do we get it?

Why is it important, and who are those that offer it?

“IT” is all here, in this blog.

You determine which path to take because the how to be encouraged rests inside one’s personal intent to be so.  Our intentions are birthed in our will.  These thoughts have soaked in my tears for many years  They are now presented as if on the platter I searched to find by observing and absorbing.

An Angel delivering the holiest of gifts designed to bring comfort on a perfectly sized pillow. I purchased it from an astrologer, Bethea.

To be encouraged is to feel lifted in the direction of dreams and visions intended to benefit one and all.  The humble person bears great humility so its fruit takes time to ripen.

Life is in the presence of spirit.  Given the free will to act as we choose, regardless of circumstances, ultimately leads us to a new place.  That place is always at the moment we call now.

As most of you may have already heard “the present is the present.”  ( This is why I love the English language!)

Is one’s Spirit, the Soul, aware of conscious or unconscious acts?  Does the soul give a life to live while one’s heart and mind determine the route to take and to learn and teach to fulfill by one, or more of the myriad of possible purposes?  I am suggesting mean spirited purposes are sadly present.  Humans are not perfect.

How can we find the ultimate good reserved for each one of us to achieve?  What happens when we falter?

To seek our God’s wisdom is the way to the truth and the light; however, the choices in the Garden of the Universe encourage us to navigate, and we do.  We are free to choose our way of being in the presence of any circumstance.  I think it is known as the attitude we carry.  We arrive at knowing moment by moment according  to choices made with attitude at hand.  Hand in hand they direct the route we choose to navigate. You Are a Star

How would I know?  Have you looked at the sky at night to see the miracle of sparkling  stars?  Near and far and some like dots still giving a light.  The sky can be seen all around the world; the stars shine just as bright.  They mesmerize the eyes to deliver the heart a silent note of comfort sparkling like diamonds.  In our immediate world, we can look up and recognize the shapes if we were to connect them as dot to dots.  I wish we could travel around the globe to capture the stars from as many points as possible.

“The sky can never have too many stars; there is room for everyone to shine, including you.”_ NIN

The truth is the sky can never have too many stars.  The world can never have too many sparkling souls.  They are the ones whose dignity rises to shine.  You are a star.  The light within you yearns to light the way.  Circumstances differ for each unique soul to fulfill a best possible purpose.  Along the way many good deeds are done and none is ever too small.  No good deed is ever overlooked as that is when the beam of light shines brightest.  Humbly accept your lot of being star shine daily.  There is an immense need that only you can fulfill.

To recognize it in ourselves, we often look and see the light in others.  It means we see more clearly.  Lights merge.  It is the light within that seeks to merge with the light of others.  It is when we recognize the sparkle of each soul that our spiritual energy beams a welcoming strength of calm.  Anyone in that state of being sees the light’s potential.  Even though these words may challenge the reality we live in, they are the words I have to offer as a means of inviting all to give each star a chance to shine, including yours.  It should be of no discomfort to discover its yearning to be bright, brighter, and even brightest. BEING the LIGHT

“GOD has given us two hands__one to receive with

and the other to give with.  We are not cisterns made for hoarding.  We are

channels made for sharing. “

__BILLY GRAHAM

My parents told me the story of a gift brought to me by my God parents, a chocolate bar.  I was five years old, and their visit was due to a special occasion.  My Dad had been ordained to the priesthood.  I remember the table set with food for a crowd.

Our neighbors with their daughter and son were there and I unwrapped chocolate bar, and inhaled the scent with a smile.  I snapped to give each a piece.  One for each parent and one for each friend, two for my Godparents, and two for my parents.  The eight pieces completed the bar.  What about you? asked my father.  Even though some tried to give me a part of their piece, I was perfectly happy to share it all with them.  I don’t remember the incident yet my parents repeated it enough that I certainly lived up to the joy felt in giving.  Perhaps we give what feels so abundantly available simply because there is greater pleasure in seeing the satisfaction in others receiving.

The delight to give is apparent in children.

Pastor Billy Graham was a sort of shepherd who sought God’s flock to deliver the faith, the hope, the love, the wisdom filled Bible. His mission’s message continues to shine like a candle whose flame lights and warms the room in our hearts.  He gave so much for so many to receive.

We all can.

Albert Schweitzer’s life is an inspiration of a man with a complete education dedicated to humanitarian assistance.  By the age of twenty nine he had written three books, he loved Bach’s music, and his exemplary life shines on…  His devotion to his work, just as Pastor Billy Graham’s, inspired others to fulfill their dreams.  Their encouragement was designed to light the way for others.  Their patience moved mountains as their faith the size of a mustard seed, could and would not be snuffed out.  Their mission was charged with divinity.  Their humanity called out to humans; they heard the cries and responded with their love.

Like all of us, both men felt the pangs of rejection; their flame, however, rekindled.

” Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being.  Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light.”  __ALBERT SCHWEITZER

The up close image of the angel on the tree trunk as discovered in Bible Study on Maui appeared at a glance.  Look and see the signs all around waiting to be found. God gives us the clues.  Angels sometimes are in being the light.  Sometimes they are humans in the light.  Sometimes they can be recognized and when two meet, the path is lighter, brighter.

” Believers, look up–take courage.  The angels are nearer than you think.”  __BILLY GRAHAM

When I discovered the verse below, I decided it was time to read the Bible with a magnifying glass.  I still hope we can all be star-shine daily.  We can.  We can give from this light within us.

“This light within you produces only what is good and right and true.”  EPHESIANS: 5:9

Please share your thoughts with me…  God bless you.

WELCOME to Be Star-Shine Daily

This blog as it is called for short articles addressing the writer’s points of interests, is much like an artist’s palette.  Initially I had hoped to have twelve categories to address specific topics readers could tap into and ask questions.  However, it has been designed with a name that does cover my heart’s intent.  I may be tweaking the four categories in time.  This is new to me, and I am literally like a kindergartner in a canvas playground with buckets of colorful paints ready to be used with just a few whispering brushes.

Since there are quotes that have transported me from heart beat to heart beat and from breadth to breadth, I can assure you I am grateful for their sustenance.  We are nurtured in different ways in life, and without brothers and sisters, books seemed to always be there to tell me something written by someone who cared enough to pour out nuggets.  Many of them have helped me keep my chin up and my back straight resolutely sure of how to perceive the mysteries of life.

” There is a pleasure, in the pathless woods.

There is rapture on the shore.

There is society where none intrudes

By the deep sea, and music in its roar.

I love not man less.

I love Nature more.”  Woodlands__Lord Byron

We live such fragile lives from the moment we are conceived, and the best in us is the love.  The star light from our soul eagerly shines from birth and somewhere along the way we are the stars that aim to fulfill our ultimate best.  I  thank God for sending us His Son, Jesus, and for my extraordinary good fortune in life to have honored  His wisdom.

I welcome your comments and questions and promise to answer, even if in a story.  God bless you and thank you for visiting my site.

DESTINY : TO LIVE, TO DIE DEPART, AND ARRIVE

Death is an anticipation, like birth…

And from our earthly life to the spirit world…

No despair is overlooked by any human,

and most of all, not by our God …

He is our Father, even to any who deny Him.

Like many, I wonder too…how a spirit aligns

To the family on earth…with a purpose…

And I wonder which comes first?

What is missing that brings us to observe the earth?

We learn, we teach, we grow, and we are free to choose our fate.

Still, not our destiny here.  We are allotted time to finish the rare course.

We are each uniquely rare even in our nuances of soul-full divine colors.

However meek our assignment, we are first to fulfill its needed love quest.

On earth, as it is in heaven, His will is for each of us to love fully, unconditionally.

Love is kindness to all. Love is pure in all. Love is not superior for just some.

Love beckons us to be a light for one and all. Keep Reading

The Light of Peace

The Art of Aloha…

When in doubt, be the light.  When saddened by one’s own perceived limitations, be aware every one of us is the light of our own  life.  We can’t be all things for all people.  We can choose to be the best we are, and that is what makes a difference in being at peace with oneself.

Twenty-eight years ago, I welcomed the responsibility of planning the monthly programs for the Erie County Medical Auxiliary in Pennsylvania.  Exactly twenty-seven years ago today, February 7, on a Thursday, our gathering entitled TALENTS AND INTERESTS of Our Own Members, took place at 10:00 AM in my home.  Is it a coincidence I searched to find the album today?
As I recall, I encouraged as many ladies as possible to participate in the event designed to bring us closer to one another.  Eighteen of them though somewhat reluctant at first, did in fact open their hearts to shine.  The photographs in my possession walked me through a treasure chest of a time gone by.
Heavenly Bandora strummed by an Angel…

The art of cooking together with displays of a collection of antique dolls, and another of Santas while there was a real Irish step dancer, a bandora player, a piano concert with a vocalist, a display of leather and beads handwork, four artists of paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylics, and a table with handcrafted paper mache creations, a colorful and elegant quilter, a seamstress of dresses, a Ukrainian array of decorated eggs surrounded by intricate cultural accent needlepoint, and dearest to my heart the crewel works of a remarkable member.  Trust poured in the sharing of interests and talents and the event still shines in my heart.

In life we make choices that may well have been written as sacred agreements too deeply imbedded for us to recognize.  Carolyn Myss wrote a book entitled The Sacred Agreements.  I still wonder why about so many things.  Does the weather really matter to people who move from a cold climate to a warmer place ?  Now that I am familiar with Sclera Derma, I know it does.  Does it have to be that serious? No, it does not.
God knows our hearts and bestows blessings that arrive even when we are unaware.  That is precisely why we are best to be in the light of goodness.  The Course in Miracles says to remember anyone you meet is a holy encounter.  The past came alive today again as it has throughout the years in quiet times when I wished I could have gathered those lovely souls again in my home for tea.  Their light brightened my life.  Their trust in participating in an event that marked their interests and talents to be viewed by all present was a gift of peace.  Therefore, when unsure about our heart’s desire, let us consider the light of peace.
