Inspiring Company

HOPE is an acronym…
Help
Other
People
Evolve…

We are truly inspired by the good company we keep.

The giving of ourselves to others can inspire them to become inspiration for others.

That is exactly why teachers hold the torch for the future of men and women who will eventually design the path taken by their children…

Be not ensnared in despair by keeping company with those who mislead anyone into an undesirable reality…  To get out of there is to take one step forward and then another, and another and on and on..

The mind that welcomes God in a prayer of thanks giving for the new day, the fresh air, the clear dew drops, and even hot tears that speak of a silent, wounded heart, can find the way to survive because He hears the plea.  His peace arrives as a light to show a path of wholeness, fulfillment, and certainly joy.

On Easter Day the praise for Jesus’ resurrection is proclaimed in Alleluias…  Witnesses of His return to life were the candles burning that have lit ours on the table or the altar, all in awe, still looking up to say, “Oh, my God, dear Lord, How Great Thou Art.” Keep Reading

You Are a Star

How would I know?  Have you looked at the sky at night to see the miracle of sparkling  stars?  Near and far and some like dots still giving a light.  The sky can be seen all around the world; the stars shine just as bright.  They mesmerize the eyes to deliver the heart a silent note of comfort sparkling like diamonds.  In our immediate world, we can look up and recognize the shapes if we were to connect them as dot to dots.  I wish we could travel around the globe to capture the stars from as many points as possible.

“The sky can never have too many stars; there is room for everyone to shine, including you.”_ NIN

The truth is the sky can never have too many stars.  The world can never have too many sparkling souls.  They are the ones whose dignity rises to shine.  You are a star.  The light within you yearns to light the way.  Circumstances differ for each unique soul to fulfill a best possible purpose.  Along the way many good deeds are done and none is ever too small.  No good deed is ever overlooked as that is when the beam of light shines brightest.  Humbly accept your lot of being star shine daily.  There is an immense need that only you can fulfill.

To recognize it in ourselves, we often look and see the light in others.  It means we see more clearly.  Lights merge.  It is the light within that seeks to merge with the light of others.  It is when we recognize the sparkle of each soul that our spiritual energy beams a welcoming strength of calm.  Anyone in that state of being sees the light’s potential.  Even though these words may challenge the reality we live in, they are the words I have to offer as a means of inviting all to give each star a chance to shine, including yours.  It should be of no discomfort to discover its yearning to be bright, brighter, and even brightest. TRUE Social Justice

I have swept clean my earliest memories as a child.

I mean, I cleaned them out in a pile of dust for the Potter to mold them into a pitcher.  Now that it is filled, I would like a word about Social Justice.  It begins with being cordial.  There is no way anyone can advance a wholesome relationship without the quality of cordiality.  Any ambassador on a diplomatic post knows this card of success in bringing peace to the table.

I am sincerely baffled by the need for the world to learn more about being kind hearted.  Of course, I am even more disturbed by the fire fueled to burn the legacy of the intelligent thinker.  That’s why I say an incomplete education causes consequential harm in our society.  Mark Twain hit the nail on the head :
Every time you stop a school, you will have to build a jail. What you gain at one end you lose at the other. It’s like feeding a dog on his own tail. It won’t fatten the dog.
– Speech, 11/23/1900

It breaks my heart.  Lies aim to murder the truth.  A test of how serious we are in our belief in God and His power, is in our ability to stick to the truth.  After all, He knows all our secrets.  Therefore, to Him, social justice stands for words intended to fight a cause that was addressed by great thinkers.  Had they been taught, what a great difference they would have made.  I don’t give up on educating because there is no greater joy in any soul than to be in the knowing.  That’s where freedom soars.  Teachers and professors carry the responsibility of the nation’s future.  To deny a proper education is criminal.  To oppose those who give their time to better the lives of others is criminal.  To be infested by an ideology that promotes the destruction of our nation’s Constitution is sickening.  The disrespect has escalated and it is time for the educated to be heard instead.  There is no benefit to listening to the inept.  Who are they?  Easy to spot.  They fling mud at those who do the work.  They are the chameleons that unsuspectingly poison.

To be enslaved by the lies that have been spewed and continue to be spewed, is to be caught in the whirlpool of a cesspool.  Instead of disempowerment,we must choose to discipline ourselves to behave in civilized manners.  To laugh at this grain of truth is to deny the power of faith as large and heavy as a mustard seed.  That’s how little faith most of us have until that instant, that defining split of a second, when the TRUTH sparks, and we become what God intended all humans to be: humane. The Bit I Know…and GREAT LENT

“Great Lent is intended to be a’workshop ‘ where the character of the believer is spiritually uplifted and strengthened; where his life is rededicated to the principles and ideals of the Gospel; where fasting and prayer culminate in deep conviction of life; where apathy and disinterest turn into vigorous activities of faith and good works. ”  __WIKIPEDIA

Even though my father was an Orthodox priest, life distanced me from the life I lived before leaving home.  The tapestry is intricately woven with stories created by choices.  We can all take responsibility for some, maybe most.  The colorful and the shadowed defining moments of our lives,  stand to deliver outcomes we revisit.  In the ancient Orthodox Church, the believers aim to obey the Sacraments, and it is daunting to explain without appearing to be on a mission to convert people to the first Christian Church.

My intent is to invite you to meet my understanding about the misunderstandings of Christianity even among Christians.  Since I am not a theologian, please excuse my seemingly shallow though heartfelt observation.  It all begins with the realization that all humans are flawed.  We love one another despite our hurtful ways that cause the chaos we certainly witness in our present society.  Despite the phenomenal technological and scientific progress, humanity is in the process of revisiting the history being denied to be taught as it truly happened even at the fall of the Roman Empire.  Humans have souls in progress and yet due to unknown forces, be they evil or good, we join together in disagreements as well as in agreements with others.  We surrender to survive.  Our minds hold the tools for our survival, and our hearts align with whatever we consciously and unconsciously choose to believe.  The concessions we make along the way through the years have all to do with our upbringing.  Therefore, parents and guardians bare a huge responsibility. WELCOME TO LIFE AN OPEN HEART

Take a moment to consider the day you were born.  Your business was to breathe and to continue to teach as you learned.  We were all there from the start yet our circumstances clearly different, unique as our fingerprints.

There is evidence that we learn and teach from the moment of conception.  Growth amasses change; Keep Reading
