Trump Letter in the Glory of Good

Dear Mr. President Trump,

As humans, we all fall short of the glory of God, and I know for a fact I am a greater sinner than you.  I have had two abortions, one of which I kept secret, both before I knew better.  To know better is where I want for all to be, and it is a far stretch across the abyss created by the swamp of evil in the world, specifically in Washington, D. C. where you chose to serve with an open heart your talent of negotiating for the good of the American people.  You recognized the need to redirect our nation in the world, and particularly to help improve our sinking economy.  Your God given genius to envision the best in people reminds of this quote written by one of my favorite writers:

“In God there is no hunger that needs to be filled, only plenteousness that desires to give.” _C.S. Lewis

Because I care for your well being along with your Family, as a common, unknown deplorable who shares your Republican values, I humbly step forward publicly to say we must all give credit where credit is due.  Mr. McCain suffered wounds that we were fortunate not experience yet at some point in time his heroism in the midst of swampy tarnished souls, disappointed even me.  Today he is not among us though his remembrance may even be exploited by the chameleons.  May he rest in peace.  However, I am sorry the disconnect of values and ideas forms a base for added discord continuously knitted so eloquently by the scripted politicians.

Your strength of leadership has been envied, criticized, judged, and sadly disrespected by opportunists who found ground when you let your guard down, when you were most vulnerable and perhaps needed an honest friend, or perhaps a closer relationship with God.  We all come to learn and teach, and the aim is to know better.  Maya Angelou, the poetess, said when we know better , we do better.

I stand by your heart because it must ache as you so openly show its true sensibility on your sleeve in tweets.  I have friends who read them daily in support.  I mainly pray for your well being.  I know Jesus would never ask any sinner not to remember Him on Good Friday, and He welcomes us to say the Lord’s Prayer.  His humility held the kindness of love.  His perfect holiness is divine.  The Bible teaches us to live sensibly but it is a difficult book to read, understand, and implement.

Nonetheless, the point is you are being attacked and you respond in a way that is accepted at face value by me and supporters of your agenda yet also purposely misinterpreted by the ignorance and/or evil maliciousness of humans steeped in hatred first.  The hatred is frightening and calls for me to write to ask you to address those who continually bash your service with  ” a partnered wisdom” of the few you trust completely.  Your son-in-law Jarred Kushner comes to mind, our Vice-President Mike Pence, and always include our First Lady Melania.  Their shining talents of loyalty to serving our nation align with your love of the glory of good.  There may be others, and I encourage you to use their kit gloves.

As a mother of four sons, I see the boyishness in you, I recognize the bravery of your dream to bring back this country as a prosperous beacon, and I “feel” for the shoulders you carry despite the pounding by the insensitive, and unwarranted chaotic divide.  It is outrageous like an epidemic of some despicable tongue rash.

The forces of power are at war.  Good and evil fight inside each human.  To be aware is to know better, and I want to thank you on behalf of all your supporters for doing the best you can, for giving us your time unselfishly, and for trusting in God for the blessings He gave you to share with the United States of America, and the world.  As a naturalized citizen, I realize you have a keen sense for the differences in cultures yet can appreciate the spirit within mankind.  Your language is direct because you were made to drive the nail with a hammer to create a bench and table with walls and a roof for all to be sheltered.  I believe you truly wish for every human being to pick up the box of talent tools to be self reliant and serve God, Family, and Nation.

I think you need to know that there are those of us who have watched you grow through the years, read your books, and like Anne Coulter, knew you were the most viable candidate for President of the United States of America.  No one I know would have laughed.  Yet, I knew those who voted for the man who promised to begin to fundamentally change our America in just five days, and I was heartbroken.  Values divided us.  Unfortunately, people who manipulate the facts to tell stories that are blatant lies inflamed with insulting accusations, are indeed harming the country, particularly the populace that knows no better.

The radical left aims to discredit your desire to bring unity, patriotism, and successful relationships with every nation in the world preserving the human rights we cherish here.  The win-win is foreign to the uneducated.  They have stooped to ridicule law enforcement.  They ask for socialism/communism yet have not taken a year to live in Cuba or Venezuela.  They cuddle law breakers and do not empathize with citizens who have lost their family members by illegals.  The confusion is created by an army of underground community organizers.  They are the bullies.  They are the gangs of Saul Alinsky.  When their behavior mirrors their accusations, conservatives see more clearly and the numbers now have grown.  Stay centered by your knowledge of what is prosperous and seek the advice of the best minds in our nation.  You have the gift of appreciating excellence.  Continue to welcome their input and share that because the nation is starved for knowledge.

Education is the tool for survival.  The tragic infiltration of ideas that have never worked in other countries calls for historians to begin teaching.  Our Republic provides a coveted liberty that would have been nulled and void had you not won the election.  Rise above the muck because people who throw dirt lose ground.  Your position is admirable. Your leadership is our hope for a better future in the world.

I thank God for you in the White House.  I pray you can remember to know better.  I do now and am still learning.  We all are.

The country needs your loving heart for the glory of good for the good of the people.

Even though you are by yourself at the podium, you are not alone.  Count on God to protect and guide you.  Be the light.

Sincerely…

My Zealous Quest For God’s Will

“What wings are to a bird, and sails to a ship, so is a prayer to the soul.”
__ Corrie Ten Boom

I believe we can thrive to do what is absolutely possible in the name of God for humans to live in peace.

The challenge is to individually wish to seek the light within to serve all to create a better world.

In this great United States of America, many strive for high ideals and have created a comfortable way of life that may be at risk of defaulting due to the liberal wave of corruptive force manipulating the uneducated with freebies that will cost people’s freedom.  In the long run, these soldiers of the left may well cause problems some will say were unforeseeable.

The red flags are up.  The mainstream media is doing a great disservice to the populace that still believes their twisted accusations.  It is fed by those who are basically uneducated or being paid handsomely to avert the attention of the progress being made in our nation’s capital.  Mr. Trump is being bashed unfairly, and the disruptors have no moral guidance, no regard for boundaries.  Their aim is dissolute making changes to benefit all Americans as self-reliant individuals as opposed to living under a nanny state. To Be Of A Christian Heart

In Bucharest, Romania.

There are so many Christian denominations, it may be difficult to count or name them.

At the heart of all the Christian Churches, is the reverence, and love of God, His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and an undeniable faith undoubtably blessed by the Holy Spirit.

However, the first Christian Church, The Easter Orthodox Church, is the ancient one from which the Catholics broke  in 1054.

The Lutherans broke from the Catholic in 1522, The Anglican Church of England was founded by King Henry the VIII in 1534, the Congregational Church was founded by Robert Brown in Holland in 1582,  and 1606, the Baptist Church was Founded in Amsterdam by John Smith, the Dutch Reformed Church was founded in New York by Michelis Jones, the Protestant Episcopal Church was an offshoot of the Church of England, founded by Samuel Seabury, in the American Colonies in the 18th Century, John and Charles Wesley founded the Methodist Church in England in 1774.  and that same year , in London, Theophilus Lindley, founded the Unitarian Church, and the Latter Day Saints, The Mormon Church, was founded by Joseph Smith in 1829.  In 18888, the Salvation Army was founded by William Booth in London.

In the Protestant tradition, hundreds of other religions have started in the last 100 years: Church of the Nazarenth, Pentecostal Church, Holiness Church, Assemblies of God, and many Bible and Evangelical and non-denominational Churches, as well as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The Bible has served to bring the word of God.  All of these Churches worship differently yet they unite in our Lord.  I have been to most and know the good intended for all through the teachings of Jesus.  I love so many hymns… Keep Reading

To Be Unburdened

A collage of my cousin Adriana, her daughter, Monica, and her husband, Dan.  I love them.

Today is Orthodox Easter.  The greeting in Romanian  is “Hristos A Inviat!” Christ is Risen!

The response : “Advevarat A Inviat!” Indeed He is Risen!

My cousin Adriana Muntean from Constanta, Romania, sent me a text…and I’ll try to translate it:  The whiskered bunny is a  lucky omen on Easter…  He does not leave presents in your boots…  He has other secrets…  “pasca” a soft braided bread filled with cheese…  red eggs, and “cozonac” similar to the Italian “panettone” sweet bread with raisins or nuts…  roasted lamb…  and a Happy Easter…  It all rhymes and sounds like a jingle.

What matters most is that Adriana thought to send me the message…  Unburdened by the weight of the reality the family experienced due to my mother and father leaving Romania, my cousin’s husband called and I spoke with all of them, including my Tanti Lila.   They did not hold a grudge.  They forgave my parents.  My grandfather was imprisoned for years.

The Price for Responsibility

Get it right as soon as possible.  We are given three things but not the other three needed; as soon as we realize that, we must take responsibility.  I read this in Ayn Rand’s book Atlas Shrugged as it is told by the character John Galt.  I extracted just these three points because I believe they help our understanding of the need to be responsible

We are given a life but not our survival.

We are given a body but not its sustenance.

We are given a mind but not its content.

Ultimately, the mind is the tool for our survival.  We do what we must  and to travel life’s journey successfully, and I believe we must make time to be in the presence of God.  There is no escaping His presence, only denying it.  That is a choice each person carries until death.  Thereafter, we meet our Maker. To Be Patient Is to Be at Peace

The calm before the storm is said to be ominous yet I always long for the calm I associate with patience and peace.  Things turn out better when done calmly.

Today…in about forty-five minutes, I will ring a bell at home in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am holding down the little girl ready to leave the scene…I remember that day…My mother is standing on the left.

I am always saddened by the conversations fueling a battle no one ought to be fighting.  God has created us differently.  Our physical characteristics don’t determine our characters.  The development of who we become as persons stands to be best understood by our Maker.  I wish we could appreciate our differences, even as men and women.

I was born and raised in Brazil, and my father worked in Mato Grosso measuring the land along with a team of men accustomed to the terrain.  My mother and I also lived in the compound as I can best describe it.  We were side by side with men, women, and children of Portuguese origin and mostly black folks.  I wrote a piece years ago that I will publish another time.  The truth is I did not hear of racism until I came to the United States of America at the age of fourteen.  It seemed so strange to hear people talk about the Civil War, Yankees, and racism.  It is as my parents explained it back then an attack on skin color as antisemitism is against the Jewish folk.   I listened and learned as much as I could along with speaking English, my fourth new language. Docile Hearts and Education in Four Languages

The assignment suggested in Come, Become Alphabetically Savvy, has taken wings.  When I chose the word “docile” for the letter D, I also considered the word “dependable.”  These two characteristics have allowed me to navigate the skies like migrating birds that find their way to survive the seasons.  The difference is I just kept moving forward and did not return.

A couple of open composition notebooks called EDUCATOR, educator, with handwritten lessons in Spanish.

I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to parents who fled their native country of Romania.  I learned their language at home and once in kindergarten, Portuguese became my second language.  The desire to learn and belong were in my fabric.  The Catholic nuns at Nossa Señora D’Assuncao kept an orderly classroom where everyone spoke when spoken to in order to respond, and standing up. There were no disciplinary problems.  We must have been a bunch of docile youngsters eager to be in school with paper and pencils neatly stacked on our desks.  The nuns could depend on us to obey the rules and pay attention.

A language is learned word by word and one after the other like putting on socks, then shoes, learning to make the knot and bow, and then taking one step at a time.  That is all there is to it, literally.  Having an ear for words and the ability to mimic the sounds, I found Portuguese to be as fun as the kids, the nuns, all whom I met and heard speaking at school, in the neighborhood, or at the beach.  The simplicity in my first nine years of life primed me for the education that would follow in two other countries. Come, BECOME Alphabetically Savvy

Have you persistently sought to seek  understanding, self-improvement, and a way to serve purposely day by day?  It’s been my blustery bug for decades.  Not long ago, I came upon a prayer I wrote to God.  Maybe I’ll share it someday, not now.  There is beauty, truth, and love to be harvested for you.  To desire to be better is a personal endeavor.  To be tempted to err calls for immediate discernment, and I believe every human can step up to lead a noble life.

When and how does one learn the alphabet?  Can it be any more valuable than to gift a Webster’s Dictionary?  I think not.  In full disclosure, I must admit a deep love of learning.  Years and years ago, and I purchased a book about Mr. Webster.  Today there is one entitled Noah Webster: The Life and Times of an American Patriot, by Harlow Giles Unger.  Who would have known what I am about to tell you next?  Life is full of wonderful surprises.  When we yearn for the good, the better, or even the best, God’s Universe conspires to bring things about.  I have been blessed.  Read on.

I must tell you once again about my friend Pauline Garron.  I smile to  think of how her beloved, departed husband said, “I don’t know how you gave up your maiden name ‘Webster’ for Garron.”  Oh, it was love and it still is love, that’s how; are you smiling?  I think it splendorous to have been born with such a name.

The Webster’s dictionary’s friendship has doubled its value.  The alphabet challenge is ahead. Keep Reading

Forgiveness Hand in Hand with Love

“Forgiveness is the fragrance

the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. ” _Mark Twain

How did this quote become an old friend’s favorite?  Sometimes a quote

speaks to a wound.  The salve borders on the divine because to for-give

is what we need to yield  in order to avoid collision in our hearts.

The Course in Miracles states “Forgiveness is the key to happiness.”

With these two quotes in mind, one may actually step into those comfortable shoes to avoid blisters and the discomfort thereafter.  This reminds me of the benefit of using Vaseline on the feet before sliding them into socks and sneakers.  It is a way of avoiding blisters.

The heart too can be worn down.  The Vaseline prevention of blisters to the feet can be equated to the thoughts that empower to appease irresponsible blows that literally cause damage. Keep Reading

The Consequences of Abortion

Women’s Day was celebrated a few days ago.

I meant to do a tribute to all the women who made a significant difference in my life; the ones that molded me knowingly or unknowingly by modeling a life I admired for so many reasons.

Some are still on this side of the green grass, God bless them all.I could not find all the photos to stage them properly.

A call came that led me to decide that all women deserve a voice of admiration, counsel, and acknowledgement for being who we are, humans like men though designed to carry a child or more, and also beings with qualities attracting a sense of community.

Women gather people together as if by a nesting instinct.

We have been strong and we have been weak.  We have carried the lives of our own children and those of others.  We have “born” discoveries, inventions, hymns, poems, novels as well as more.  We have taken to living a life in chastity or the opposite.  We are beings who can rise to lift the hearts of the wounded, and we can do the opposite.  Like all humans, males alike, we take our first breadth to live.

Our interests may be vastly different yet we recognize something personal about one another.  Males and females have spiritual and physical yearnings.  It is an understanding seldom addressed and unfortunately seriously abused.  We are more than just bodies.  We have souls.

The subjects of discretion and indiscretion need to be addressed.  The value of intimacy seems not to be treasured.   Again, unfortunately, the carnal desires have taken precedence over the need to respect and honor the purity of souls.  Yes, I am suggesting that the physical desire to be intimately involved with another MUST first filter through the emotional need to feel safe, to feel right, and free just for being totally united in caring for one another’s emotions.  Sex for sex sake destroys a real relationship where peace and joy ought to abide in both hearts.  Intimacy outside of a relationship is troublesome.
