Prayer Request of My Friend Creta

On Christmas Eve twin brothers were delivered prematurely.  Their young Mom, husband and grandparents are asking for prayers.  One is in need of heart surgery along with another complication.  Both boys need to gain weight as their set arrival was to be in mid January…

Their Mom as a teenager played along my sons with her brother.  I remember her vim and vigor and giggles.  She grew up to attain degrees in nursing and then in Elementary education.  Math sparks her inspiration.  Her talents abound as she swims and runs marathons…  That is hoe she met her devoted young husband, an engineer.

What could go wrong?  Why do unfortunate things happen to good people?  Was their good luck just too good?  Who would have thought that amid all the good fortune even twins were forecast to bless their families?  As friends, we celebrated their delight and wished them continued happiness.

The turn of events is now being held in balance with two young lives waiting to begin their lives with Mom and Dad.

A farewell Tea in Scottsbluff, Nebraska…and we keep in touch…They are Angels…

Today they are at the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.  In the valley together they await with faith, hope, and trust.

The candle holder was a gift to me years ago when I too was in a hospital in Denver, Colorado.  Each tea light lit held  the flame of my heart in prayer to God for a myriad of needs.  I lit them in devotion asking for strength, wisdom, and perseverance…

Today I ask for a prayer from you aligned with any unspoken of your own.

In Jeremiah 33 :3, we are given the promise of restoration:  ” Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”… The words apply to to the text yet they can be transferable to us as guideposts.

Give thanks to the Lord Almighty,

for the Lord is good;

his love endures forever.”

__Jeremiah 33: 11

I pray for a Happy New Year…  I trust heaven’s door to be our eternal blessing…  I pray we can will to be holy.

In Syzygy of Our Fairy Tale

Farewell Paula…in blue…at our Bible Study on Maui…with a remarkable group go Friends.

Once upon a time, we each had a future translucent like a crystal hanging above the windowsill…

WE were so young the earth, the moon, and sun mesmerized us like an eclipse observed with wows…

Somehow the feeling of “us” was shared in trust, and we overlooked our tiny to large imperfections because we just knew you were you and I was me and they were like many of them without ill sentiments.

2018 received the company of many whom I respected for their lives on earth, and tonight I will look for the stars that blink from the velvet of the azure sky and thank God for each being He created. Keep Reading

My 2018 MERRY CHRISTMAS Letter

MERRY 2018 CHRISTMAS DEARESTS,

I reflect as we do just before embarking on a journey.  It seems we have to prepare for ETERNITY as Pastor Wyndham suggested in a sermon.  The passport keeps records of our individual lives yet at church we gather collectively for instructions.  I’m leafing through my own past and choose to share some information.

My parents and I arrived in United States of America on or about July 4, 1963…In 1968 my father applied for our citizenship and it was granted in the fall a year later.  He had been sponsored to serve at St. Elias Romanian Orthodox Church and even though he served two other parishes through his remaining years, he “confessed” just before his soul’s departure, the one in Ellwood City, PA, had been the one he treasured.  However, circumstances nudged choices as in all of our lives.  My parents’ earthly bodies rest at the Monastery of Transfiguration near the church that blessed us with the invitation to serve and embrace this nation’s freedom. The Depth of American Emotions

The lightness of heart is joyous once captured in a memory.  Defining moments propel people through life in a state of wonder no matter how young or old, whatever gender, nationality, or religion. We learn and we teach.

My four sons one fine Christmas morning in their hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania…years ago.

To be misled or misguided initiates erroneous developments and that is why a proper education lifts an individual to a higher standard.  To know a little is dangerous.  To seek to know more completely yet know there is more to discover is to touch the hem of wisdom.

Attacks of any kind are a cry for help as I read in the Course of Miracles.  It makes sense.  To resort to attacks shows the lack of knowledge, and some people call it poor upbringing.  Verbal attacks hurt both the sender and receiver.  To know when to retreat from engagement in attacks is sensible.

Character is molded by choices made yet personality is knitted in the comfort of being.  A loud, boisterous person can be as kind as a soft spoken gentle giant.  Therefore, with so many unique personalities blooming characters as widely different as the number of birds created on this earth, discord is bound to happen while most prefer to glide in discovery and wonder blissfully sure all can be loved, unless hated.

We choose. Keep Reading

The Time Difference in My America

How much can we get done in an hour?

How can we pin defining moments in a minute?

Somehow the days have rolled into weeks and looking back years have been stacked to a mountain top.

The news stirs my gut because so much of all that is said matters in our lives and time is of the essence to act in the direction we wish to see our country go.  Or, is it “stay” ?

I dislike the oppositions set years ago against prayer in school, and the denouncement of the Ten Commandments.  When the Columbine tragedy occurred, I sat to hold myself from falling.  My heart hurt for the parents of the criminals because I would have rather been one losing a child than to be the one responsible for the one taking the lives of classmates.  How did they live through that horrific event and can any of all affected rest tonight like it’s all over?  Is it ever?

In the last two weeks, friends from afar have risen in another realm and I remember their influence in my life, and how their absence will fill my hours, days, and perhaps years… Keep Reading

Shipwrecked: Vacation Bible Camp

Shipwrecked?  When do we realize we are stranded?  Are we ever really all alone?

The wisdom to navigate life’s inevitable struggles contains the humility and kindness Jesus’ legacy provides in the New Testament.  The Old one is the Torah, and there the prophecies tell of the tales to unfold.  The New one continues to fill the minds and hearts of all who welcome the Holy Spirit’s presence.  It is through this form of hospitality that we arrive at being closer to being holy.  Can we really ever be?  We must strive to be holier as I found out even as I tripped over one of my Senior Tibetan Terriers…

Falling and aiming to break the fall without the ability to stop the second twist of the body that struck the unyielding tile floor, I remember the alarm of a new felt ache drawing and pulsing from hip to knee in a burst like the flame of a quickly struck match.  Not exactly surprised, I was shocked to feel a knife like stabbing in my neck when I instinctively turned to tell my family audience I was okay.

On a walk on Cougar Run with Dandelion and Tumbleweed…

Everyone extended a hand to lift me up, and I looked at the eight arms rather embarrassed by the ungraceful plump pose, and declared not to be touched.  That was wise, so  much better than to jump up without feeling the extent of the damaged body parts that now ached to be soothed.  Thanks be to God, nothing was broken.  Thanks be to God, I sat up slowly with the help of my oldest son’s pair of hands, and then stopped again to evaluate the situation.  The right side bruised without mercy let me know the only way up was to lean to the left…and since I was guided by the pain to know how to finally stand, I did so reassuring the group of stunned observers I was okay.  I looked for Tumbleweed, the sixteen year old mutt that still wished to be by my side, as close as possible to lick my foot, bless his doggy soul.

The point is I didn’t swear.  I thanked God. Keep Reading

Trump Letter in the Glory of Good

Dear Mr. President Trump,

As humans, we all fall short of the glory of God, and I know for a fact I am a greater sinner than you.  I have had two abortions, one of which I kept secret, both before I knew better.  To know better is where I want for all to be, and it is a far stretch across the abyss created by the swamp of evil in the world, specifically in Washington, D. C. where you chose to serve with an open heart your talent of negotiating for the good of the American people.  You recognized the need to redirect our nation in the world, and particularly to help improve our sinking economy.  Your God given genius to envision the best in people reminds of this quote written by one of my favorite writers:

“In God there is no hunger that needs to be filled, only plenteousness that desires to give.” _C.S. Lewis Keep Reading

Aloha Blessings, God and Country

Aloha Blessings from afar to all who breathe the air of the Pacific Ocean….In my heart all whom we met in the island circle remain as vivid stars and I pray the storm passes as each one does…
The treasure of the years lies in the memories of all the places and people who made an enormous difference in our growth. I just checked the DRUDGE REPORT to get a glimpse of the news, and nearly heard a thunder clap from the Texas sky above.
Is it all true ? I pray for God’s intervention because I am a Conservative Christian who shutters with sadness to feel the effects of the Saul Alinsky Storm. I pray the uninformed be mercifully shown the path to wisdom.
God leaves the light on. The nonbelievers trash, destroy, disobey, disrespect, and murk the world in mud slinging baths because their hate has consumed their minds.
I thought the Facebook and Google scandal was a hoax…Is it? Do they really want to silence the stable? The better than normal society is as human as Trump. Then there are those whose sins done intentionally or unintentionally simply sweep the dirt under the dusty rugs. How dare the channels of news be so deceiving! How dare politicians who have made millions from our tax dollars want to impeach our President because he wants to clean up the disguised corruption!
I see no reason for the silent majority to be silent. The sinners that we are, we have to be held accountable, and in holding the darkness of the deep state of chameleon like manipulative corruptors, we will step into the light of truth about Benghazi, about the Clinton Foundation, about the bought and paid for Comey and his wife and all who hid and still hide like rats in the daytime.
The light of God will always be on. The best we can do is to step forward and tell the truth, be the light of maturity exemplifying the treasure of awareness…
Aloha Blessings means this evil spewed will pass through and the lane of life will be lit eternally. God bless our United States of America for the liberty of speech, and our President for not being a deceiver and for standing in the line of fire created by an army duped in ignorance.
Know the difference between right and wrong. Know the ungodly is responsible for irresponsibility. Unite in forgiveness to be a hand of wholesome service. We cannot allow the liberals to continue to dismantle our American home.
Please make this go “viral” as they say…God bless.

The Truth and Mr. Trump

To be soaked in the warmth of the sun as a gentle breeze embraces in the stillness of the moment while strolling contentedly towards dreams yet to inevitably unfold is to live in complete truth.  Imagine if all encounters were met with the same sense of purpose to fulfill a feeling ingrained to be served.  Visions to make a difference make a difference, yet in truth, in this less than perfect world, even an intelligent solution can be met with opposition.

To wish for all whom we encounter to have pure motives in life so as to serve competently without deception is to set the bar fairly high.  No one is perfect, and even after a deluge of mistakes, many strive for ideals that would in fact be of exceptional value in life, yet a force hinders the progress.  That force opposes truth at the cost of ruining dreams, visions, plans, goals, and is bound to attack to aim at character assassination.

Our 45th President, Mr. Donald J. Trump, is the present day martyr of the most irresponsible, poorly educated, and/or intentionally devious humans.  The faces of the opposing force carry ignorance as a crown of hatred.  When the truth should shine on their misdeeds, the blame of shame will be on the perpetrators of lies.  Unfortunately, all who choose to attack are actually crying out soulful screams of discontentment.  Their outrageous behaviors are not commendable but are fueled by opportunists too incompetent to shine as noble leaders. To Pray or Not ToPray

Within us all a small voice makes giant strides in every decision of our lives.  That inner voice seems to be a guiding light which appears with our unknowing until the knowing of it takes a stand.  We  call it many names.  We acknowledge it as our gut feeling or a precise rational opinion that even if marred, we hold to be our own and rightful pace.  As humans, we mess up, and I think mostly unknowingly.

We are plagued with concerns weaved in desires, needs, and cultural leanings.  To be comfortable seems to be natural.  To have a wishful desire fulfilled seems delightful.  To be surrounded by the security of like mindedness seems like a no brainer for peace of mind.  Yet, despite the leveling of the three, a missing continues and we are pressed with fears.

I think about these matters and have sought to read the writings of others for the comfort of understanding to be free of the plague of concerns. Keep Reading
